Our St. Mary of Vernon Parish Pastoral Council consists of 12 parishioners who reflect you—the parish community.
Born from the Second Vatican Council, Parish Pastoral Councils are charged with implementing the Church’s renewed concept of shared responsibility among laity, religious, and clergy.
We, along with the four parish commissions (Catholic Education, Spiritual Life, Human Concerns, and Parish Life), assess the needs of the parish faith community and plan for the future by recommending programs and goals that fulfill our parish mission.
Typically, four new members are sought each spring for a three-year term. Parishioners have an opportunity to nominate others or submit their own names via the bulletin every year.
