Our Mass Servers are young people or adults of the parish who assist the priest and Eucharistic Ministers during Mass and other services. If you love God and the church, if you are in the 4th grade or higher, and have received your first communion, you are welcome to learn how to be an altar server at our Sunday Masses! Both girls and boys can serve at Masses in our parish. 

While being a great help to us during Mass, you will also be able to get more out of Mass and grow closer to the Lord. Please either (a) call the Parish Office at 847-362-1005 or reach out to our Associate Pasor, Fr. Shemek Tomczyk via email - stomczyk@maryofvernon.org. Share your name, grade, phone number and if possible an email address or (b) you can give this same information at the reception desk in the Narthex after weekend Masses. One of our trainers for Altar Server Ministry will then get back to you with more information for training practice dates and times. 
 
On the average, each young person serves once a month.
